From ambulance service to life-saving education

SAEMT’s story begins with Steve and Sharon Alderson, whose work in emergency medical care started on the frontlines. In East London, they built Alderson Ambulance Service into a respected private emergency response service known for compassion, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the community.

As the years went on, first aid training became a natural extension of that mission. By combining real-world emergency experience with accredited teaching, they helped schools, workplaces, and community groups learn how to respond more effectively in critical situations.

In 2013, the family opened a new chapter in Nelspruit and launched SAEMT with a clear purpose: deliver practical, engaging, high-quality emergency medical training that gives people the skills and confidence to act when it matters most.

SAEMT was built to make life-saving knowledge more practical, more accessible, and more empowering for everyday people, workplaces, and healthcare learners.
